Who We Are

“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” - Jane Goodall

North Shore Grant Strategy provides experienced, detail-focused support to nonprofits navigating complex and high-stakes grant opportunities.

With a background spanning federal, foundation, and academic grant environments, I have worked across the full grant lifecycle, from pre-award proposal development through post-award management and reporting. This includes experience supporting grants in university and research settings with federal funders such as the CDC, NIH, EPA, HRSA, and HHS; working within nonprofit organizations managing foundation (RWJF, MacArthur Foundation, Chicago Community Trust, Polk Bros Foundation) and federal funding; and serving on the foundation side, overseeing grant proposal dockets and board processes. My experience includes both applying for funding and working within grantmaking environments, providing a perspective on how proposals are evaluated and selected.

My work has also involved developing and managing systems for subrecipient oversight, building and reviewing multi-million dollar budgets, and ensuring alignment across program, finance, and compliance requirements. This experience informs a practical, focused approach: strengthening proposals at the moments that matter most, before submission, so that narrative, budget, and requirements are clear, aligned, and competitive.
